Rescued relics are housed in the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture

Rescued relics from the Brest Oblast are on display at the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The icons "The Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles" and "The Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem" now occupy a place of honor in the museum's sacred collection. These artifacts were discovered in Cherevachitsy during an expedition in the 1970s. It was decided to transport these sacred relics to Minsk and, in effect, put them on display. The Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture, in conjunction with the National Art Museum of Belarus, are preparing a joint project dedicated to the achievements of the national school of icon painting. For six months, these masterpieces of Belarusian sacred art will occupy the halls of the State Tretyakov Gallery.
