03.10.2017

The first in the world practice of daytime photography of Dionysius' frescoes is presented at an exhibition in Gomel. About a hundred works by the Moscow photographer Yury Holdin were being created in the complex interior space of the Synaxis of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Ferapontov Monastery for almost 12 years. The temple from the UNESCO World Heritage List was painted by the ancient Russian icon painter Dionysius and his sons in 1502. This painting is the only one preserved until our time.
