The exhibition called "From Lisbon via Minsk, Moscow, Astana to Vladivostok" opened at the National Museum of Kazakhstan. It is a project initiated by the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, which is held under the UNESCO's patronage. The exhibition spans across the cultural space of the West and the centuries-old traditions and customs of the East. The wide geographical coverage and diversity of points of view is secured through the participation of artists from 28 countries. Those include Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, and Russia. Among the artists are both recognized masters of modern art such Zurab Tsereteli, Viktor Alshevski, Luis Rodrigues, and young artists who have already gained recognition in their countries.
