A traditional culture festival was held in Luban District

The traditional folk culture festival "Piatrovica" was held in Luban District for the 16^th time. A three-day programme was dedicated to the Orthodox holiday of Peter and Paul popular among the people and celebrated on 12 July. The festival is centered on dancing traditions. The main events this year were the presentation of Grodno region quadrilles and the unveiling of a new dance from the Luban region, "Hannachka". The festival programme included sightseeing tours of Luban region, vocal and choreographic workshops and parties, and meetings with local villagers who represent the traditional culture. The culmination was a reenactment of the "Piatrok" ritual in the village of Shipilovichi.
