The international satellite TV channel Belarus 24 of Belteleradiocompany, in cooperation with its partner Azercosmos, continues to actively work to expand the geography of broadcasting and the availability of high-quality television content from the Republic of Belarus to the widest possible audience.
As part of the strategy to strengthen its position in the media market of Central and South Asia, including countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, a project is being implemented to test broadcast a package of TV channels using the AZERSPACE-2 satellite on the Pakistan-Afghanistan beam, which includes the Belarus 24 TV channel.
This allows for more effective integration into the media space of the region, and provides viewers with up-to-date and reliable information about events in Belarus, self-produced content, as well as a diverse and rich palette of the best national TV projects, including in English. By the way, the signal is available to all viewers in the region with individual satellite dishes, which provides coverage to more than 10 million households.
As part of the agreements, it is planned to broadcast the Belarus 24 TV channel and key cable operators of Pakistan in a number of major cities of the country, such as Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Currently, more than 100 of the country's leading cable operators have integrated the package into their networks. In the near future, coverage is expected to expand through integration with Pakistan's largest and most influential operator, PTCL, in the cities of Karachi and Islamabad.
The integration of the Belarus 24 TV channel into the network of cable operators in the region will significantly expand the audience, providing access to high-quality Belarusian content for millions of viewers. This cooperation represents a significant step in the development of cross-border television broadcasting, strengthening Belarus' position in the international media market and facilitating cultural exchange between the two countries.
