JOINT AIRCRAFT PROJECT

The time calls for working together, and this course has long been determined. The Union agenda was discussed at the Palace of Independence. The President met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Aleksandr Lukashenko raised the issue of joint production of the Osvey aircraft with Russia and announced plans to meet with the President and Prime Minister of Russia.

HUMANITARIAN MISSION

10 Ukrainian citizens and 10 Russian military personnel who had previously been held captive returned home. Belarus, consistently adhering to a peace loving stance and acting as a reliable platform for dialogue, carried out another humanitarian mission, which was conducted with strict adherence to the norms of international humanitarian law.

COMBAT READINESS CHECK

The readiness check of the Armed Forces, carried out on the instructions of the President of Belarus, is continuing in one of the artillery brigades. In accordance with the plan, the Secretary of State of the Security Council issued an order to the Minister of Defense to carry out training and combat missions

SWIFT EAGLE-2026

The final stage of the practical part took place during the Belarus China tactical exercises Swift Eagle – 2026. The maneuvers, which had been taking place in China for almost two weeks, have ended. The airborne units of the two countries practiced airborne operations from helicopters and assault operations using mountaineering equipment.

INTERREGIONAL RELATIONS

Belarus and Uzbekistan are strengthening regional cooperation. An agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as a roadmap for 2026-2028, was signed between Vitebsk and Andijan Oblasts. The partners intend to expand investment cooperation and develop cooperative ties. The future prospects include the creation of new joint industrial and agricultural ventures. 

Belarusian flax is valued not only within the country but also abroad: linen products under the “Made in Belarus” brand are exported to 40 countries around the world. One of the main regions where “northern silk” is grown in Minsk Oblast. This year, experts estimate the flax yield here at 40 centners per hectare, which is above average.
