Restrictions are lifted from Belarusian athletes

The International Modern Pentathlon Union and the World Boxing Organization are lifting restrictions on Belarusian athletes. The decision was made based on the recommendations of the IOC. Athletes can return to international tournaments, including qualifying for the 2028 Olympics, compete under the national flag and with the national anthem, and the decision applies to both individual and team sports. The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus welcomes the decision of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee of 7 May, 2026 regarding Belarusian athletes.
