Belarusian canoeists advance to World Cup finals in Germany

Belarusian canoeists will compete in three finals on Saturday at the second stage of the 2026 World Cup, which is taking place in Brandenburg, Germany. In the women's canoe single 500m, our athletes, Maria Popichich and Angelina Bardanovskaya, took third place in the semifinals and qualified for the medal race on 16 May. Canoeist Vladislav Kravets also advanced from third place in his 1000m heat. Additionally, Belarusians Ilya Vereshchak, Ivan Potapenko, Gleb Chebotarev and Denis Potapenko will compete in the men's 500m canoe four race on Saturday. Only seven teams have entered this discipline, including paddlers from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, and China.
