Union parliamentarians supported the creation of a commission for the preservation of historical truth
The 68th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia was held in Brest. The deputies considered the fulfilment of the instructions of the Heads of State, which were given during the international forum "Great Heritage — Common Future" in Volgograd. It was decided to give the event the status of an annual event. Next time the forum will be held in Belarus. Another topic was the consideration of the report of the Council of Ministers of the Union State on the implementation of the budget for 2024. Also, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia adopted a statement on the protection of historical truth and preservation of historical memory of the Great Patriotic War. The deputies unanimously supported the establishment of a special commission for the protection of historical truth.
