Today is the Day of the Diplomatic Worker
The President of Belarus has congratulated the employees and veterans of the Foreign Ministry on their professional holiday. Aleksandr Lukashenko wished every employee of the Foreign Ministry system to always remain a model of a true citizen and patriot. Diplomat's Day was established in 2018 by the presidential decree in honour of the 100th anniversary of the foreign policy service. It is an occasion to remember the past and think about today and tomorrow of the diplomatic service. It is also a tribute to veterans who honourably defended the interests of our Motherland. It is symbolic that on this very day the Club of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the National Centre for Marketing and Price Study announces an essay contest "I want to be a diplomat". Students of Belarusian universities up to the age of 27 are invited to participate.
