Today Belarus celebrating Archeologist Day
15.08.2019
Today Belarus is celebrating the Archaeologist Day. The researchers still find artifacts that reveal the secrets of our country's history. For example, large-scale excavations in the Braslav district are being completed. Scientists are studying the island on Lake Nespish. It was there that a monastery was built at the beginning of the 16th century, which completely burned down in 1832. Historians and volunteers are looking for the foundations of the monastery walls and trying to determine the age of the bridge that connected the island with the mainland.
