The "Zapad-2025" exercises will be used to practice planning of the use of nuclear weapons

A month before the start of the Belarusian-Russian exercises "Zapad-2025", preparations are underway according to plan. The main actions will take place in the center of the country at the training grounds near Borisov. Two Russian units have already arrived in Belarus, two Belarusian ones — at the Russian training grounds. As the Minister of Defense of Belarus V. Khrenin emphasized, the exercises are planned and are aimed at protecting the territory by the forces of the regional group of troops. According to him, the increasing militarization of the region requires a high degree of readiness. V. Khrenin also noted that during the maneuvers, they will practice planning the use of nuclear weapons and the Oreshnik missile system. Foreign experts from 56 countries participating in the Vienna Document on Security have been invited to observe the Belarusian-Russian exercises.
