The "Victory Relay" was launched in Brest Fortress

It will run along the external borders of the CIS member states. The solemn ceremony gathered veterans, border guards and young people at the memorial complex. The "Victory Relay" is designed to preserve the historical memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and prevent falsification of history. The relay will cover more than 3.500 kilometers on the territory of Belarus. Then it will be picked up by the Russian border guards. This action is not only a tribute to the past, but also a step towards strengthening the unity and cohesion of the CIS peoples. The international military-patriotic marathon will end on 28 May in Moscow.
