The treaty on security guarantees of the Union State came into force
Any attack or threat of attack on Belarus, as well as on Russia, will be perceived as a unified threat, the State Secretary of the Security Council said in an interview, commenting on the ratification of the treaty on security guarantees within the framework of the Union State. Aleksandr Volfovich stressed the importance and timeliness of this document, and that by the treaty we are strengthening not only military security issues. Thus, the treaty on security guarantees contains a clause on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. This can be considered as an element of strategic deterrence, as well as the fact that Belarus is forming an unprecedented level of alliance and coordination in the military sphere with Russia.
