The Sporovskie Senokosy festival brought together 18 teams from Belarus and Russia
11.08.2025
The 18th ecological festival Sporovskie Senokosy was held in the Berezovsky District of the Brest Oblast. 18 men's, women's and mixed teams from Belarus and Russia demonstrated their skills in manual haymaking. The participants not only competed for the title of the best, but also helped preserve the unique meadows of the Sporovsky Nature Reserve. Each participant had to mow 100 meters of meadow, but the task was not easy: the variety of grasses added complexity. Experienced mowers noted that the skill requires many years of practice. For two decades, the festival has brought together hundreds of people and created a unique atmosphere so that everyone could touch the tradition of manual haymaking in Belarusian.
