The remains of the victims of the Nazi genocide who died in the concentration camp "Krasnye Kazarmy" were reburied in the garrison cemetery of Brest. Nowadays it is a modern microdistrict Rechitsa in the north-western part of Brest, but during the Great Patriotic War the Nazis committed mass crimes against the Soviet people here. This was discussed at a requiem rally in the city above the Bug. Representatives of the authorities, servicemen, students, schoolchildren and all concerned Belarusians gathered to honour the memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland and war victims, prisoners of fascist camps.
