The public transport payment system will be modernized in Minsk

Minsk subway will have more turnstiles for fare payment by means of QR code. A contract for modernization of 30 automated devices has already been signed. Now almost 60 lobbies are equipped with such a system — one turnstile at each entrance. The priority is given to the stations with the highest passenger flow. The payment system in the ground public transport will be modernized as well. In buses, trolleybuses and streetcars of the capital till the end of the year it is planned to introduce the system of payment for travel by bank card. More than 1 mln passengers use the services of Minsk ground public transport daily, while the subway — more than 700.000.
