The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection proposes to discuss the waste management strategy
Utilize waste by almost 100%, turning garbage into income. Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection has submitted for public discussion the draft resolution of the Council of Ministers "On the production and consumption waste management strategy in the Republic of Belarus".
The strategy aims to ensure that 90% of waste gets a second life by 2040. All authorities will take into account the provisions of the document, and its implementation will be controlled at the state level. The main task is to create an integrated recycling system to maximize benefits, save money and help the environment. The project has been developed taking into account the principle of carbon neutrality, that is greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to zero or offset by environmental projects.
