The first Armenian Apostolic Church in Belarus was consecrated and opened in Minsk

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, arrived in Belarus for the first time especially for this purpose. He consecrated a new church complex named in honour of Saint Gregory the Illuminator. The opening of the Armenian church was attended not only by residents of the capital, but also by guests from different parts of Belarus and representatives of foreign countries. For the Armenian diaspora of Belarus, which numbers 9.500 people, the opening of the church was a significant and long-awaited event. The construction of the first and only temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Belarus, designed by architect Samvel Makyan, started in August 2022 and was completed in April 2025.
