The draft law on subsoil use is being prepared for consideration in the first reading

The House of Representatives discussed new initiatives in the field of subsoil use. The bill was submitted to parliament at the end of July, and now the deputies, together with relevant departments and taking into account the requests of citizens and organizations, are working to improve it. The first reading of the bill is expected to take place in September. The President set the task of actively and effectively developing new deposits, extracting and processing minerals. About 50 types of minerals have been explored in Belarus. Oil, peat, potash and rock salts, as well as sand, clay, dolomites and other materials are strategic for the development of the real sector of the economy.
