State Traffic Inspectorate holds events with fixed-route taxis

Minibuses are under special control of the traffic police. The traffic police throughout the country is carrying out preventive measures aimed at improving the safety of passenger transportation by minibuses in regular intercity and suburban traffic. The main goal is to prevent violations committed by drivers of such vehicles and officials of carriers. Traffic police officers will pay attention to preventing the operation of faulty vehicles, exceeding speed limits, rules for maneuvering and overtaking, driving at a forbidding traffic light and transporting passengers not wearing seat belts. Traffic police units will monitor compliance with traffic rules and passenger transportation. Preventive measures will be held until 22 October.
