Revival of Krevo Castle

The walls of the Krevo Castle are being reunited. Archaeologists and restorers are reviving the perimeter of the first stone castle on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Its research has been going on since 2017 at the expense of the republican, local budgets and funds from the President of Belarus' fund to support culture and art. Conservation work on the prince's tower is behind us. Restoration is not a hindrance for tourists. Over 11.000 guests have visited the castle for three years. The historical and cultural value pleases archeologists with finds, therefore the process of museification is actively going on there. The Krevo Castle History Sector was established at the Smorgon Museum.
