Reconstruction of the bridge over the Mukhavets River has begun in Brest

Four lanes instead of two, wide sidewalks, bike paths and new lighting: reconstruction of the bridge over the Mukhavets River has begun in Brest. It connects the central part of the city with the south-western part, which is home to more than 100.000 people. The reconstruction will be carried out in several stages. The first one is coming now. On the second one, they will start creating a new branch. It is planned to complete its construction at the end of next year, then they will begin dismantling the existing bridge and erecting a new one in its former place.
