At one o'clock in the morning, Belarusian time, the neighboring side began to allow vehicles to pass. Two automobile checkpoints and 4 railway checkpoints have been opened. In addition to 4.000 cars registered for departure to the EU through the Belarusian-Polish checkpoints, more than 2.000 cars remain waiting to leave in other directions — Lithuanian and Latvian. On 12 September, at night, the Polish Border Guard closed its checkpoints on the Belarusian-Polish border. The Brest-Terespol and Kozlovichi-Kukuryki, as well as 4 railway checkpoints, were locked up. Heavy truck drivers spent two weeks in limbo, awaiting the decision of the Polish authorities.
