Parliamentarians adopted draft law on suspension of CFE Treaty

The draft law was submitted to the House of Representatives by the Council of Ministers upon agreement with the President. It was prepared in order to secure national interests of Belarus and as a retaliation to the decision of the NATO member-states on suspension of the treaty's operation. In practice, it means that the state which is party to the Treaty will suspend rendering information on Belarus' conventional arms and equipment, admission and holding of inspections controlling observation of quantitative limits regarding conventional arms and eqipment, provided by the articles of the Treaty.
