16.09.2025
According to the State Border Committee, over a thousand vehicles are waiting to leave Belarus for the EU at one operating Latvian and two Lithuanian border crossings. Cars are allowed through, but they do so intermittently, creating artificial queues. Ordinary people are becoming hostages to the situation, forced to wait for hours to enter. The Belarusian border is open for the movement of goods and passengers, there are no obstacles. The country is ready to resume work at any of the closed checkpoints on the border with the EU.
