On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow announced a motor rally "Сity-Heroes — Cities of Heroes"
The route includes 4.000 kilometers along the places of military glory and memory. The events will take place in the cities of Russia and Belarus, which at different times were awarded the title "Сity-Hero". This is the highest degree of distinction, which was received for heroic defense during the Great Patriotic War. The motor rally was divided into three parts. "Northern" is Murmansk and St. Petersburg. "Western" — Brest Fortress, Minsk, Smolensk. And "Southern" — Sevastopol, Kerch, Novorossiysk, Volgograd, Tula. The main purpose of the rally is to remember the history of these cities and tell about the inhabitants who defended their native places from the German occupants at the cost of their own lives. The rally will start on 29 April and finish on 8 May in Moscow. Participants will hand over capsules with earth, which they will collect from the mass graves of Сity-Heroes. 21 June, the capsules will be delivered to the Church of All Saints in Minsk.
