New water deferrization stations to be built in Gomel region
Improvement of living conditions in rural areas. 28 new water deferrization stations will appear in Gomel region by the end of the year. Implementation of the State Programme "Comfortable housing and favourable environment" will allow to provide 100% of the residents of Gomel region with quality water by the end of the year. For this purpose in 2025 the works should be carried out in 169 settlements, 28 deferrization stations should be launched and a number of measures should be implemented. High iron content in drinking water is a widespread problem in the settlements of Belarus. In order to improve the quality and convenience of services for the rural population, part of the water supply networks will be transferred to the balance of housing and communal services. The settlement of Peresvyatoye, Rechitsa district, is also included in the programme. The agrotown has more than half a thousand residents. There is a kindergarten, a school, cultural and medical institutions, administrative building of the local household. In total, about 800 water deferrization stations are planned to be built in Belarus over this five-year period.
