National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus presented a new book for Mother Language Day
Specialists of the Academy of Sciences presented a new book edition "Belaruskaya Mova ad A da Ya" (Belarusian language from A to Z). Two thousand copies have already arrived in the bookshops of the country. Linguists have updated information about the writing of letters in the XI century, the number of words in the Belarusian language and the first edition of the national alphabet book. Currently, the Yakub Kolas Institute of Linguistics is working on the return of original literary treasures from abroad. For example, the archives of St. Petersburg keep Nasovitch's Dictionary, which contains more than 400 handwritten pages. Soon the Institute's researchers will start working on its publication. In parallel, online dictionaries are also being developed.
