Minsk is preparing to celebrate 958th anniversary

Minsk is preparing to celebrate the City Day on a grand scale — historical reconstructions, sports competitions and a grand disco in the very center of the capital. On the morning of 13 September, a solemn ceremony will begin at Minsk — Hero-City obelisk. The city's leadership, foreign delegations and representatives of public associations will lay flowers at the monument. History lovers will find the Minsk Starazhytny location. Historical reconstruction clubs from Belarus, Russia and China will gather in the green zone along Pobediteley Avenue. The celebration will take place in two stages at the Sports Palace. First, the Olympic Day: sports activities, and in the evening, a youth program with open-air dancing. A festive fireworks display will end the festivities.
