Latvia will ban irregular bus services to Belarus and Russia
07.10.2025
The Latvian government will ban non-scheduled bus services to Belarus and Russia from 1 November, 2025, until October 2026. This applies to one-off group trips, such as excursions or sporting events, and applies to all carriers, regardless of their country of registration. Currently, three scheduled routes operate from Latvia to Belarus and six to Russia.
Latvian authorities have also extended the flight ban in the eastern part of the country, along the borders of Belarus and Russia. However, it is partial: it is in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
