Latvia has introduced restrictions on the passage of cars into Belarus
28.03.2024
Latvia, following Poland, introduced a ban on the export of cars to Belarus. Vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 1.9 liters, as well as cars costing more than 50 thousand Euros, are banned. The Customs Committee of Belarus issued a warning to car owners. Since March 26, at the only operating Latvian-Belarusian checkpoint "Paternieki", cars with transit license plates have been turned away from the border. One of the necessary conditions for travel is the presence of a document confirming that the car manufacturer knows who the seller and buyer are, and also guarantees that the car will not be resold in Belarus and Russia.
