In the first half of the year, the Belarusian Railways transported 28 million passengers
On the eve of the Railwayman's Day, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus visited the Belarusian Railways Transportation Control Center. Its specialists monitor the movement of trains, coordinate routes and promptly respond to any changes in schedules. About 1.300 trains pass through the Belarusian Railways every day. Of these, approximately 650 are passenger trains and 600 are freight trains. In the first half of this year, 28 million passengers and 45.5 million tonnes of cargo were transported. I. Sergeenko got acquainted with the work of the center and met with the staff. The parties discussed the internal processes of the industry, as well as global geopolitical and economic challenges that affect the work of transport.
