In honor of the City Day, a lapidarium was opened in Brest

The museum contains more than 1.200 stone artifacts. In particular, the tombstones and their fragments from the old Jewish cemetery, which existed since the beginning of the 19^th century. The territory was landscaped, and a memorial plaque with engraved inscriptions in four languages was installed in front of the entrance to the lapidarium. It turned out to be an open-air museum. Its walls symbolize hugs. The opening ceremony was attended by residents of Brest and other regions of Belarus, as well as foreign guests. They laid flowers at the main monument and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the genocide.
