High technologies in Belarusian medicine
Quality, accessibility and safety are the main criteria in the development of medicine in Belarus. Last year, more than 46.000 young patients sought help at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Pediatric Surgery alone. About 8.000 people were hospitalised and treated. This Center provides assistance in several areas: they diagnose and treat heart diseases, work with malformations of the thoracic and abdominal cavity, remove appendicitis or hernia, perform serious endovascular operations. The number of foreign patients has increased by 3 times over 2024. Brigades of Belarusian doctors also operate abroad. Today there are joint programmes with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Specialists also successfully conducted the first surgeries and workshops in the UAE.
