First Belarusian cosmonaut M. Vasilevskaya arrives at International Space Station

Whole of Belarus followed the historic flight. Together with Marina Vasilevskaya, commander and native of Belarus Oleg Novitsky and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson arrived at the International Space Station on a scientific mission. The night before, the spacecraft docked at the "Prichal" module of the station's Russian segment. The process took place in several stages. The team has already held a communication session with Earth. Marina Vasilevskaya shared her first emotions after docking with the ISS, thanked for the support and noted that she felt good. Due to the postponement of the launch date, it took the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft more than two days to reach the International Space Station. Marina Vasilevskaya coped with ease. The Belarusian will stay on the ISS for 12 days. She will conduct experiments with bacteria and take pictures of certain areas of Belarus for the National Academy of Sciences to compare them with images from the Earth sensing satellite, as well as from airplanes and drones.
