European experts commented on the elections in Belarus

The elections were held in compliance with all the rules and reflect the will of the Belarusian people. This is the opinion of international observers, experts and analysts. A thematic round table "The results of the presidential election in Belarus: a European view" was held in Minsk. The participants discussed the course of the election campaign and compared it with the procedures organised in their countries. As a result, the roundtable participants agreed that the development of the political system in Belarus not only complies with the principles of democracy, but in a number of aspects significantly exceeds Western European standards.
