During the Zapad-2025 exercise, landing aircraft on the road was practiced

On the final day of the Zapad-2025 exercise in the Dzerzhinsky district, the military practiced the issues of withdrawing aircraft from enemy attacks. Knowing the advantages and weak points of aviation, in a military conflict, airfields are the first to be attacked. It is impossible to cover a huge area from the air. Therefore, there are sections of roads where aircraft can land. During this exercise, Su-25 attack aircraft landed on the highway for refueling. And then they struck the simulated enemy. Various military units, subdivisions and services of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, as well as units of engineering and airfield, technical and logistic support are involved in the safety of such a landing.
