Dragon Boat races were held on the Svisloch River

For the first time in Belarus there is a republican sporting and mass event "Dragon Boat races". The competition started on 23 May near the capital's Palace of Sports on the Svisloch River. Teams of higher education institutions took part in them. The peculiarity of the races is a canoe with a dragon's head and tail, which is controlled by 10 paddlers, one helmsman and a drummer who sets the rhythm of the race.
