Deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly considered the issues of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the agro-industrial complex

The Commission meeting was attended by parliamentarians, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, ministries and departments of the two countries. The parties worked out mechanisms to ensure food security in the context of the formation of a common agricultural policy. In 2024, the trade turnover of agro-industrial products increased by 15%, exceeding $8 bln. These figures demonstrate the correctness of the chosen course of integration of the two countries. Import substitution in the Union State will touch upon all spheres — from machinery and technologies to breeding. The parties also identified prospects for the development of the system of additional vocational education of managers and specialists of the agro-industrial complex, training of personnel in new areas in demand in the market.
