Creation and development of centres of all confessions discussed in Minsk

The National Library of Belarus hosted a discussion of the President's initiative to establish spiritual centres. The event was attended by representatives of all traditional religious confessions of the country, as well as Authorised Representative for Religions and Nationalities Aleksandr Rumak. On the instructions of the Head of State, they were to develop proposals for the creation of spiritual clusters that would become places of pilgrimage for believers and secular people. The list proposed by the clergy included such sites as Zhirovichi and Spaso-Efrosinievsky monasteries, Budslavsky Church, a mosque in Ivye and a synagogue in Bobruisk. It is planned to carry out restoration works and landscaping in these places.
