CIS discusses possibility of joint air defense system
Military commanders of the CIS countries discussed the creation of a joint air defense and a joint communication system in Moscow. The participants analyzed the military and political situation in the world and on the borders of the Commonwealth, assessed the current challenges and threats. The military cooperation of the Commonwealth states is aimed at achieving a new level of cooperation in the military sphere, reflecting national interests and joint priorities in the field of ensuring security. At the end of the meeting, the sides signed decisions to further develop the system of cooperation in the military sphere, taking into account both national and common interests. The next meeting of the CIS Chiefs of General Staff will be held in Belarus in 2025.
