By May 1, outdoor advertising is to be sorted out in Minsk
Natalya Kochanova, the authorized representative of the Head of State for Minsk, set this task for the city authorities at a meeting. The attention of officials should be focused on installation of billboards and other structures, and their content. Improving legislation on advertising issues was considered at the expert council of the Council of the Republic at the end of last year. The adopted law "On Amendments to Advertising Laws" comes into force on July 11. The innovations include clarifying approaches to harmonizing outdoor advertising and expanding opportunities for business and the media. A number of prohibitions are also being introduced, including the provision of services by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs not included in the register of advertising distributors.
