Brest is preparing for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory
Delegations from Russia, Latvia, Slovakia and Germany will take part in the Victory Day events in the city above the Bug. The main events will be the Victory Parade on Lenin Square and a festive procession — the city will join the national action "Belarus Remembers. We remember everyone". Traditionally, a rally and laying flowers at the Eternal Flame will be held in Brest Fortress. The "Victory Waltz" will be danced at the railway station, while the project of the participants of the theatre of living sculptures "Frozen Memory" will be on the pedestrian street Sovetskaya. The festive programme will also include exhibitions, concerts and evening fireworks. Another large-scale event with the participation of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus "Pathetic Diary of Memory" will be held in Brest Fortress on 1 May. The project reflects all the pain and horror of the war that our people had to endure. And from 30 April to 11 May the legendary citadel will become a landmark on the way of numerous motor rallies.
