Brest and Oryol have become twin cities

Brest and the Russian Oryol have established twinning relations. The agreement was signed on 4 August at a meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and the Oryol Oblast. The document provides for cooperation between enterprises, attracting investments and implementing joint projects. Exchanges of students and teachers are planned, as well as cooperation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. Brest has more than 30 twin cities, including Omsk, Astrakhan, Vladivostok and Sertolovo in Russia, as well as Karakol in Kyrgyzstan.
