Belarusian schoolchildren will face innovations from 1 September
24.07.2025
Schools will limit the use of gadgets. The new law banning the use of mobile phones during lessons in Belarus from 2022 is enshrined in the state school standard. At the beginning of classes, children will hand in their smartphones and get them back after the end of their studies. These are not all the changes in the standard curriculum. Now, instead of two subjects in the program, tenth-graders will study the history of Belarus in the context of world history. From 1 September, instead of two physical education lessons per week, there will be three, and field training will take place not five, but ten days. And those who study at home will have additional subjects in the program.
