Belarusian model of emergency prevention presented in Abu Dhabi
Rescuers from all around the world gathered in the United Arab Emirates these days for the World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit. It is being held in Abu Dhabi. The day before, the head of the Belarusian Ministry for Emergency Situations presented the domestic model of the emergency prevention system at the forum. Vadim Sinyavsky stressed that the consequences of the most devastating emergencies in recent years demonstrate that no country in the world, regardless of the level of economic development, has sufficient resources to achieve significant risk reduction and damage mitigation without cooperation and support from other states and international organisations. On the margins of the forum, Vadim Sinyavsky held a meeting with his colleagues from Russia. The parties discussed the results of the response in Myanmar, wh ere they jointly carried out search and rescue operations, dismantled building structures and extracted victims.
