Belarusian deputies' busy legislative agenda

Deputies will consider the issue of strengthening social guarantees for veterans at a meeting in the Oval Hall today. There are 10 issues on the agenda, one more is related to the activities of the Investigative Committee. The rest concern the international agenda. This is a draft law on the suspension of Belarus’ participation in the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, ratification of an agreement with the United Arab Emirates in the field of security and counter-terrorism and a number of others. In total, the parliamentary agenda in the first session includes 19 bills. On the eve of the International Day for Monuments and Sites, deputies adopted a statement condemning the policies of a number of European states to destroy the memory of the heroism of the Soviet people and calling for compliance with their international obligations.
