Belarus urged the UN HRC to stop the pressure through politicised instruments
Electoral country mechanisms turn the international aspect of work on human rights into a farce. This was pointed out by the post representative of Belarus in Geneva at an event within the framework of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council. The response was made to the regular report on Belarus. Anyone who critically examines the document will be convinced that it's an unsubstantiated custom-made essay, designed to somehow explain why the EU has designated Belarus a "vicious violator of human rights", said L. Belskaya. Belarus will continue to follow the path of progress in the field of human rights, as required by the national interests of the country. We don't need politicised tools of the HRC, serving a group of countries to put pressure on Belarus. Minsk called to stop the work of such mechanisms altogether.
