Belarus sent humanitarian aid to the people of Kenya

On the instructions of the Head of State, humanitarian aid has been collected for the flood-stricken residents of Kenya. The cargo weighing about 7 tonnes and costing more than Br500.000 will be delivered by road to St. Petersburg, from where it will be sent to the seaport of Mombasa in the south of Kenya. The humanitarian aid includes frame tents, as well as clothes and footwear for children and adults. Belarus regularly provides humanitarian aid to countries affected by emergency situations. Thus, since 1999, our country has provided international humanitarian aid 86 times to 34 countries. Last year Belarus provided humanitarian aid twice (to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Zimbabwe).
